Eagerly awaiting the first of November, when the photo challenge begins. The objective: to fill up 49 pages of my Flickr account in the space of two months. That means I have 71 days as of Saturday to take 882 photos! : D

Dragonfly
This morning was the first of the chilly days... I found this poor guy impaired by the chill and paralyzed on my doorknob this morning. I thought he was dead, but his legs twitched when I tried to take him down. Seeing as he was indeed alive, I decided to take advantage of his disability... when I got back with my camera, he had moved to the mat. This is why you have a lovely view of all the cat hair on my porch. : )
He flew off five minutes later when he had warmed up.

This is my first decent spider shot. This little guy has a web between one of my lawn chairs and rabbit cages on the back porch. He catches a lot of mosquitoes, so I leave him be. : )

Macro Parody
A camera with a mind of it's own! This is a shot from a couple of weeks ago. I snapped a few quick shots before running out on some errands, and then checked them once I got back. This is what I found. : )
Flaming Squirrel
I was minding my own business talking to some friends in TGG, when all of a sudden a squirrel fell down my chimney! I tried to grab it, but it burst into flames before I could...
As it was bouncing around the room igniting furniture, reading material, and precious knick-knacks, I searched desperately for the fire extinguisher, which was no where to be found. So I had to call the fire department. I waited, and waited... took some pics, toasted marshmallows, waited some more. By the time they arrived, half my living room was aflame!
When I finally got back to TGG, Maria was skeptical about my story, so I took this photo especially for her benefit...
